Polyglactin 910 (Vicryl) is a synthetic, absorbable suture that is braided, i.e., multifilament. It is made from a synthetic copolymer and remains in tissue only temporarily, being hydrolyzed and absorbed over weeks. The braided (multifilament) nature provides good knot security and handling, unlike monofilament sutures. It is not non-absorbable, nor natural, nor monofilament, so the best description is absorbable, synthetic and multifilament.
